Fourth, What is Transgender?
Hey folks, welcome back to another edition of Command and Signal, a limited-run podcast about veterans, propaganda, and other stuff. Today we’re talking about the word transgender.
Here’s the thing. While stats would say that you’ve all met someone who is gay, a lesbian, queer, bisexual, non-binary, transgender and everyone else that exists in the LGBTQ acronym- I know theres a fair bit of people that didn’t know they were talking to someone within that community (which I think in and of itself might say something). Accordingly, I know there are a lot of questions.
And that’s ok, I’m not hear to judge you. As Mo said in episode 1, you shouldn’t indict someone for not knowing something. There’s a lot of academic studies abound that could educate you, some of which we talk about in the podcast… but I know you don't have time to read a giant study full of 78-letter words.
